Sister Mary Kramer was born in Atkinson, Nebraska, on December 18, 1889, to Jacob and Elizabeth Kramer.

She attended school in Atkinson and on May 31, 1912, entered the Ursuline Convent at York, Nebraska. She received her First Habit of Religion in the Provincial Novitiate at Middletown, New York, on January 1, 1913. Her first Profession of Vows was at York, Nebraska, in 1918.

Sister Mary remained at York, Nebraska, until she was transferred to the Ursuline Novitiate in Festus at Crystal City, Missouri, in 1942.

On January 17, 1977, Sister died at the age of 87 years old at the Ursuline Convent. She is buried in the Ursuline Plot at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey, Illinois.
