Laura N. Kramer

Mrs. Kramer, 74, of Lacey, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, at a local convalescent center. She was born Aug. 11, 1909, at Tonopak, Nev., and moved to the Olympia area in 1920. She was married to George J. Kramer in Olympia. She was employed as a switchboard operator by the telephone company and also worked the Olympian Hotel switchboard for many years.
Surviving, besides her husband in Elma, are a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Shea, Olympia; also five grandchildren amd one great-grandchild.
The family suggest memorial donations may be made to the Calcutta Mission of Mercy, c/o the Evergreen Christian Center, 1000 Black Lake Blvd., Olympia 98502.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Funeral Home.

George J. Kramer
George Joseph Kramer, 79, Olympia, died Saturday, Jan 9, 1988, in a Elma convalescent center.
He was born May 24, 1908, to Albert and Mary Kramer in Stuart, Neb. He moved with his family to Olympia as a young boy. On Oct. 17, 1930, he was married to Laura Wiley in Olympia. Mrs. Kramer died Dec. 20, 1983.
Mr. Kramer worked for the Washington Veneer Co., Simpson Plywood Co., and retired from the Olympia School District where he had worked at Lincoln Elementary School.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Shea, Olympia; three brothers, Edward, Walter and Robert, all of Olympia; five sister, Helen Sharp, Katherine Luedtke, Gertrude Guiberson, and Evelyn Hayes, all of Olympia, and Stella Marie Kramer, Seattle; also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
At the family’s request there will be no funeral service at this time. Cremation arrangements are by Forest Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Forest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
